Home and office disinfection applies an approved agent to the surfaces people actually touch — handles, switches, shared equipment, worktops and sanitary fittings — with the contact time observed. It is a defined scope, agreed before the visit.

What surface disinfection is for

Most transmission risk in a home or workplace sits on a small number of surfaces touched by a lot of people: door handles, switches, lift buttons, shared keyboards, taps and sanitary fittings. Treating those properly does more than misting the whole floor plate.

The thing that makes disinfection work is contact time, not volume. An agent needs to stay wet on the surface for a stated period to do what it claims, which is why wiping a surface dry immediately afterwards defeats the exercise.

This scope suits apartments, villas and offices after illness in the building, before or after a handover, or on a scheduled basis where a space is shared by a lot of people.

What the visit covers

We agree what is covered before attending, so nothing is assumed on either side.

  • Door handles and switches

The highest-contact surfaces in any building, treated with the contact time observed, so the agent has long enough to work.

  • Shared equipment

Keyboards, phones, printers, meeting room controls and shared tools, treated with agents suitable for electronics.

  • Sanitary fittings

Taps, flush handles, dispensers and cubicle surfaces in washrooms and bathrooms.

  • Kitchen and pantry surfaces

Worktops, appliance handles, kettle and machine controls in office pantries and domestic kitchens.

  • Common areas

Reception desks, lift buttons, handrails and entry systems, where a building's foot traffic concentrates.

  • Service record

A record of the areas covered, the products used and the date, issued after each visit.

How the visit works

A short visit with defined edges. The scope is what keeps it useful.

  1. 1Agree the scopeWhich rooms, which surfaces, whether equipment is included, and when the space is available. Agreed before attendance.
  2. 2Agent selectionChosen for the setting — low-residue where there are children, food areas or sensitive equipment. Safety data sheets on request.
  3. 3ApplicationApplied to the agreed surfaces with contact time observed, working from clean areas towards dirtier ones.
  4. 4Drying and re-entrySurfaces left to dry undisturbed. The re-entry time is confirmed when you book.
  5. 5Record issuedA service record showing areas, products and date, which is what a managed building or an employer needs on file.

Households, offices and managed buildings

This is the lighter of our two interior scopes. Where whole-space treatment is needed, deep sanitization applies instead.

  • Apartments and villas after illness in the household
  • Offices and co-working spaces on a scheduled basis
  • Properties at handover, move-in or change of tenancy
  • Managed buildings treating reception, lifts and common areas

What it is priced on

Quoted against the areas and the touch points in scope, agreed before we attend. A short, defined visit prices very differently from an open-ended one.

Scope is the whole question

Disinfection priced without a defined scope is priced on nothing. Agree which areas, which surfaces and which equipment before anyone quotes you a figure.

  1. 01Area coveredA two-bedroom apartment and an office floor carry different numbers of touch points and different amounts of surface.
  2. 02Touch points in scopeHandles, switches, rails, shared desks, keyboards and phones are the surfaces that matter, and the count drives the time.
  3. 03Whether equipment is includedShared computers, tills, machinery and handsets need specific products, so tell us at booking what is in scope.
  4. 04FrequencyA one-off visit and a recurring schedule are priced differently, and a schedule carries a lower per-visit rate.
  5. 05When we attendOut-of-hours attendance for an occupied office or a trading premises is arranged as part of booking.

Before the visit

Before the visit

Surfaces have to be reachable and clear, because the agent needs contact with them to work.

  • Clear desks and worktops of paperwork and loose items in the areas being treated.
  • Tell us about equipment that must not be sprayed, and anything with a specific cleaning requirement.
  • Tell us at booking about asthma, allergies or fragrance sensitivity in the household or team.
  • Agree who will be on site, since surfaces need to be left undisturbed while they dry.

After the visit

After the visit

  • Surfaces are left to dry undisturbed. Wiping them off early cuts the contact time short.
  • The re-entry period is confirmed when you book, so it can be planned around.
  • You receive a service record showing the areas covered, the products used and the date.
  • Keep that record if your premises is inspected or audited.

Home & office questions

How long before we can use the space?

Surfaces need to dry, usually a short period and not hours. That period is confirmed when the visit is booked.

Is this the same as deep sanitization?

No. This is surface application to agreed touch points. Deep sanitization is whole-space treatment combining surfaces with fogging, and is the right scope for clinics, nurseries and post-outbreak work.

Are the products safe around children and pets?

Agents are chosen for the setting and low-residue options are used where there are children, food areas or sensitive equipment. Product names and safety data sheets are available on request.

Can you treat electronics?

Yes, with agents suitable for equipment. Tell us at booking what is included so the right products arrive with the technician, with nothing improvised on site.

How often should we book?

It depends entirely on use and foot traffic. We would rather advise a sensible interval than sell a frequency you do not need.

Key points

  • Contact time is what makes disinfection work, not volume applied.
  • Touch points carry most of the risk in a home or office.
  • What is covered is settled before the visit, with nothing assumed.
  • Low-residue agents are used around children, food areas and equipment.
  • A service record is issued after each visit.
  • Quotation is free and fixed in writing.
